The EAEU has reset import duties on a range of goods for six months starting from March 28th.

The import customs duty rates for goods listed in the Appendices to the relevant EEC decisions are set at 0 percent from March 28, 2022, until September 30, 2022.

On April 15, two EEC decisions were published, zeroing out import customs duties for six months on 923 commodity codes under the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature. The decisions come into force 10 calendar days after the official publication, i.e. from April 25, 2022, and apply to legal relations arising from March 28, 2022.

Trade turnover between Russia and the UAE reached $9 billion in 2022.

The trade turnover between Russia and the UAE increased by 68% to $9 billion in 2022. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, during the sidelines of the international defense exhibition IDEX 2023 in Abu Dhabi. According to Manturov, the volume of exports from Russia to the UAE amounted to $8.5 billion (+71%), while imports were $500 million (+6%).
