    How does the technical process of customs transit procedure take place?

    An enhanced qualified electronic signature is used to submit a transit declaration. The signature is applied to electronic documents and the transit declaration. The preparation of these documents is carried out using the declarant’s information system. Data transfer occurs through an association of Internet networks.

    What does the customs authority do when opening customs transit?

    The customs authority accepts and registers the transit declaration and documents from the declarant, as well as opens customs transit based on the received data. All operations performed by the inspector are recorded in the electronic declaration system and transmitted to the declarant.

    How can a carrier be involved in the customs transit procedure?

    The carrier is given the opportunity to independently transmit the following messages to the customs office:

        1. Notification of cargo operations with or without removing identification means;
        2. Notification of the arrival of the vehicle at the destination point;
        3. Application for extension of the customs transit period.

    CREATION OF THE EAEU FREE TRADE ZONE WITH EGYPT

    The Eurasian Economic Union and Egypt plan to conclude a free trade agreement in the near future, according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov following talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.     Trade turnover between Russia and the UAE reached $9 billion in 2022.

    The trade turnover between Russia and the UAE increased by 68% to $9 billion in 2022. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, during the sidelines of the international defense exhibition IDEX 2023 in Abu Dhabi. According to Manturov, the volume of exports from Russia to the UAE amounted to $8.5 billion (+71%), while imports were $500 million (+6%).
