“The agreement on the use of electronic systems for certification of origin of goods was signed by Russia and Tajikistan. The use of such systems will allow the electronic declaration of goods without the need for original certificates of origin when claiming the right to receive tariff preferences. Customs authorities will also be able to verify the issuance and authenticity of the relevant certificates almost in real-time, reducing the time required for customs operations and minimizing the need for verification requests to be sent to authorized bodies.
During a working meeting, Ruslan Davydov, the Acting Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, discussed current and prospective areas of cooperation between the customs services of the two countries with the Chief of the Customs Service of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khurshed Karimzoda. The parties exchanged experience in implementing modern customs technologies and discussed the creation and provision of favorable conditions for the movement of goods within the “”green”” corridor between Russia and Tajikistan. Special attention was paid to the prospects for providing law-abiding participants in foreign economic activity with special simplifications in passing customs formalities.
In addition, the Acting Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia participated in the plenary session of the 9th conference on interregional cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan as part of the government delegation.
