“The authorities of the PRC have fully abolished the mandatory registration of participants in foreign trade (FT). This was reported by the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in China. The relevant amendments to the “”Foreign Trade Law”” were adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.
In particular, Article 9 of the said law, which required registration for enterprises engaged in the export and import of goods and technologies, is canceled.
Thus, commerce administrations in all regions of mainland China will no longer require companies to confirm their registration as FT participants when obtaining quotas, licenses, and certificates related to foreign trade. As noted, since December 2019, these rules have been tested on an experimental basis in China’s free trade zones.
According to TASS.”
